About NOAC

  • The center was initially established as a demonstration farm to conduct agricultural experiments and establish various agricultural nurseries in 1378 AH / 1958 AD.
  • This farm was later converted into a research station in 1386 AH / 1966 AD.
  • Due to the expansion of agricultural land and government support for the agricultural sector, and recognizing the importance of scientific research in agricultural production, the station was transformed into an agricultural research center in 1396 AH / 1976 AD.
  • Subsequently, the center evolved into a center specializing in organic agriculture under the name "Organic Agriculture Research Center in the Qassim Region," as per the decision of the Minister of Agriculture on 1432/5/2 AH.
  • A ministerial decision was issued to change the name of the center to the National Center for Organic Agriculture to align with its assigned tasks in 1442 AH.
  • The center consists of two headquarters:
    • First Headquarters: The National Center for Organic Agriculture located in the center of Onaiza Province.
    • Second Headquarters: Agricultural Experiment Station located west of Onaiza, 32 km away.
